that little village team
we may be over-reaching
but still we dare to dream

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 we sail uncharted waters now
we scale these dizzy heights
no Channel 5 on Thursday here
but Friday TV nights
upon the hill in Forest Green
they flock from near and far
to stand with flags that echo chants
of We Are FGR!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 we keep our feet upon the ground
lest we should peak too soon
but underneath like nearby cows
we’re way over the moon
they say it’s in the run in
that leaders show their class
and early expectatations
may never come to pass

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 we used to be an after-thought
that little village team

but still we dare to dream

Up next Wrexham (Away) ! It doesn’t get any easier. Some great names and sides in this league. Each with their own history and longing to return or.. like us just hoping of one day being there! It’s an incredible long way to go, but with all the wonderful innovative stuff currently being put in place on and off the field by Dale and all involved… still we dare to dream.
