To take a stand
Things have to change
So let’s demand
That the game we love
Inspires pride not shame
Let’s kick the ugly out
Of the beautiful game

Both loud and long
Give voice to chants
And sing funny songs
But words that insult,
Hurt and defame?
Let’s kick the ugly out
Of the beautiful game

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Let players follow examples
Of gentlemen past:
Bobbies Moore and Charlton
And other players with class
Put an end to insults and tackles
That aim to maim
Let’s kick the ugly out
Of the beautiful game

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Play with passion
Support with pride
But let words, acts and tempers
Stay well onside.
Behaviour on and off pitch
Can reclaim a good name
If we kick the ugly out
Of the beautiful game

The one to blame
