Pass me my orange-Champagne.
Too early to get into beer.
Today starts a brand new campaign.
The big boys are finally here.

Pass me my orange-Champagne.
I’m camped by my TV to cheer.
This morning no one can complain.
Week One of the BPL year.

Pass me my orange-Champagne.
My time zone insufficiently near
(for Japan it is just as insane).
To the front row and to the frontier!

Pass me my orange-Champagne,
Floridian-French flute of cheer.
I’m too poor to just jump on a plane
to behold the premiere of Premier.

Pass me my orange-Champagne
or some Tang and Prosecco my dear.
By all means feel free to remain,
If you mustn’t, then I’ll persevere.

Pass me my orange-champagne.
My Mimosa to make me see clear.
I just have to watch and not train.
In nine months or so I’ll reappear.
