there’s little to cheer
but they hear
of the Red Dragon roasting the Russians

Frustration whips England full in the face
with a wet towel – drenched in Slovak sweat

a lot of puff
but it is Wales who have blown the house down
and Albion’s sons must wait
to assess their fate
against as yet unknown foes
