SEAGULLS FLYING HIGH

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Now listen, mate: I’ve always been a Seagull through and through
You’ve got the wrong end of the stick – I don’t support Man.U!
That’s shirt’s my younger brother’s, and the hat and stuff, my dad’s!
You know I only wore them to look trendy with the lads.
I didn’t want the mickey taken out of me at school…
But it’s all different now, you see – the Albion’s really cool!
I know I should have been before. Yes, this is my first visit.
It’s great they’re back at Withdean. Tell me….where exactly is it?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 My uncle was a Seagulls fan when Wardy used to play.
But now he just goes shopping with my aunt on Saturday.
Gave up when they went down, he says. Watches the games on Sky.
But he still talks so fondly of those Albion days gone by
When we get our new stadium I think we’ll find him there…
I’d rather watch Zamora than get dragged round Churchill Square!
Please don’t say I’m a part-timer. Please don’t say that I’ve been slack…..

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I’ve got this simple message. Great. We need you! Welcome back.

Notes

It has been revealed that Manchester United are set to gross a billion pounds this season. Premiership clubs wallow in money while the rest of us struggle to survive. And the majority of real football fans watch teams outside the Premier League.
(No, I’m not counting TV. TV doesn’t count!)
