When politics become irrelevant
and none of the changes fair
Just think of new labour’s image
and Alistair Darling’s hair.

It sits upon his crown so well
and keeps him nice and snug
But I think it’s the mop from hell.
Yes, it’s a hideous rug.

His eyebrows are dark
yet his fringe is oh so bright
So with black blinker guards,
why is his topcoat white?

Did an accident in his youth
cause excessive ageing
Like painfully losing a tooth,
or realising something amazing?

Who knows what happened to him
It’s beyond me how ‘bout you?
Maybe it’s a GM thing
And his ear hair will turn blue.
