I’ve been a bhoy now
For many a year
I’ve watched them through laughter
And sometimes through tears
Grands lads they played with a passion and pride
Happy to pull the green and the white
Jinky our winger graced any team
And the vision in emerald the bold Billy McNeil
Saint Stevie Chalmers tamed Herrera’s Milan
Lennox and Murdoch the finest of men
The phoenix that rose from the emerald green flame
Brought us glory and honour Jock Stein was the name.
