Ten years ago it all started, in March 1993,
David Sullivan, bought the Blues, but soon, there would be three,
This is a massive job, and it could send me round the bend,
Much bigger than i’d imagined, so i’d better phone a friend,

The Gold’s came up from London, and saw the club, in such a state,
You want us to invest in this they said, i thought you were a mate,
Have i ever let you down, so will you help me with my dream,
I’m staying here, untill i’ve created, the best team they’ve ever seen

Cooper was the gaffer a pragmatic Yorkshire man,
Unfortunately for him he had no masterplan,
A Cockney came a calling, Bazza was his name,
Somehow Birmingham City would never be the same,

He bought in 50 players, and they stayed all over town,
He said, you’ll not be here next season, and then he took us down,
He got the dreaded vote of confidence, we’ll back you all the can,
Then the chairman turned to Trevor, we’d finally got our man.

Now T.F. took the reigns and God, was back at Blues,
Surely with the messiah, we really couldn’t lose,
With the play offs and a trip to Cardiff, he got us almost there,
But something was just missing, and you could sense it in the air,

Then Trevor went to Palace, when Blues were after Bruce,
Their chairman went ballistic, like a nutter on the loose,
Steve was left in limbo, though David had something up his sleeve,
And until it all got settled, Brucie was on his gardening leave.

With Brucie back to lead us, in 6 month’s we were up,
We won a game in Cardiff, and they awarded us a cup,
This 1st season in the premier, has been magnificent i must say,
We’re staying forever, we’re finally on our way.

So, with 30 years of hurt, since 1972,
I’ve kept right on to the end of the road, with joys and sorrows too,
Our fans are just amazing, and i’m proud to say i’m one,
Thanks to you three great men, the Blues go marching on.
