To Those Who Gave Their Blood For Chelsea!

When Chelsea went over to Athens in ’71’
To take on the mighty Real Madrid
I’d have loved to have gone
But I couldn’t cos I was just a kid
The match went to extra time and a replay
Played in the Athens mud
Shedheads who stayed for the second match
Had to sell their blood!
They kipped in parks and playgrounds
As Galactico’s so sure
Thought the cup was Madrid bound
Were soon down on the score
All around the Athens crowd
Took in sights so scenic
But shedheads who had watched the game
By this time were anemic!
