Who Can Beat The Germans?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Who Can Beat The Germans?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The Three Lions went out roaring,
but Germany opened the scoring.
Sven must have been concerned,
but suddenly the game turned.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Michael Owen set us on our way,
to a five-star England display.
The first half whistle was about to be blown
when Gerrard fired a missile home!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The English returned to their seats,
And within minutes were on their feet.
Owen scored with great precision,
after Heskey’s super vision.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But would Owen score a third
And emulate the great Geoff Hurst?
You knew it would come with his bag of tricks,
and just like Hurst, he did it in ‘66’!

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 The Germans were now in a bit of bother.
Oh dear, oh dear, poor Rudi Voller!
We made it five thanks to Emile,
and it looks like Group Nine we will steal!

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 They had stolen our last Wembley day,
and thought that we’d be easy prey,
but we went to Munich just to say,
that we can beat the Germans!

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Paul Heath
