Dirt free Harry

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Harry Redknapp, shrewd operator, underrated footballing brain
Attractive teams playing delightful football without refrain
The master of suspense, enjoys a flutter
A maverick like Clough, with a bit of a splutter
In an age of obsession for pure English stock
He’d be a genius for the national team, an East End Hitchcock

Notes

Harry, Barry Fry, Jim Smith. They don’t make them like they used to. Harry is part of a dying breed, although I prefer the new age Managers. He’ll never be England boss because he’s a live grenade. Who’d give up the chance to be a fly on the wall during his paintstripping team talks. Advance warning for another pome on this subject…
