The Blues are down the Pub with Moyesy

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The Reds are down the pub with Rafa,
Crying in their beer.
They’ve gone to drown their sorrows,
But they just can’t stem the tears.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The Blues are down the pub with Moyesy,
Knocking back the booze.
They’ve won a Mersey Derby
Many thought that they would lose.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Was that a pig I saw fly past?
Or has the moon turned blue?
I pinch myself, I rub my eyes,
I can’t believe it’s true.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The Blues are down the boozer,
The Blues are getting bladdered.
Three points will come in handy,
Help us stay high up the ladder.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We’ve not too much to shout about,
Few triumphs to relate,
But Fortune favoured us today,
It’s time to celebrate!

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 The Blues are down their Local,
The Blues are getting leathered.
Rough seas and gales have lashed their ship,
But now the storm’s been weathered.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Last Season we were pretty dire,
We took a lot of stick.
Now it’s our turn to rub it in,
It’s time to take the Mick.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 The Blues are in the alehouse,
Getting mighty sloshed.
The Redmen are still reeling,
‘Cos they feel like they’ve been coshed.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Down at their favourite watering-hole
The Blues are getting smashed.
The Reds were soaring (in their dreams),
Now back to earth they’ve crashed.

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 The Blues are in the gin-joint,
Looks like they’re really wasted.
Well, they can let their hair down now
That victory’s been tasted.

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 For months they’d plumbed Depression’s depths,
But look, now it’s all smiles.
The Blues are on the razzle.
The Blues are on the tiles.

12 Leave a comment on verse 12 0 The Blues are propping up the bar,
Getting pissed as newts.
If you should come across them,
Don’t forget to kiss their boots.

13 Leave a comment on verse 13 0 The Blues are on a pub-crawl,
The Blues are getting lairy.
When we next meet, at Anfield, Reds,
You’ll be a bit more wary.

14 Leave a comment on verse 14 0 The Blues are down the pub with Moyesy.
Have you got the message?
The Toffeemen are all tanked up,
The Reds survey the wreckage.

15 Leave a comment on verse 15 0 The Blues, The Blues are not yet through,
They’ve still more pints to sink.
So now I’m off to join ‘em,
And I’ll stand ‘em all a drink!
