The Dad’s of me and Jim and Jaye,
Were sitting in the pub one day,
It’s where they seem to spend most of their lives,
But they were not just drinking beer
There was a conversation going on here
About where each one of them met there wives.

Jims dad did say, “I met my Jane
At a game at White Hart Lane
When Spurs drew against Fulham one – all.”
Jaye’s dad said, “I met my Marie
When we were at Highbury
When Tottenham beat Arsenal.”

They then asked my dad if he can
Remember where he met Anne
Who’s my Mum and therefore my Dads Spouse,
He replied, “The event I recall
Has nothing to do with Football,
I met her in a public house.”

The other two couldn’t believe this fact
And said “What about our pact
That everything we do football needs to be connected?
We agreed this at school,
Do you remember this at all?
Or did you just decide that it can be neglected?”

My Dad said, “Don’t be upset,
This fact I didn’t forget
Everything really is OK,
Cause Field’s her maiden name
And she kept it the same
And Anfield is where Liverpool play.”

The other two did agree
That this fact they could see,
Football, after all, was involved
She was named after Liverpool’s ground
So they got in another round
As any problem they had, had now been solved.
