I am delighted to say that my school has won a national competition run by Channel 4. I am sure that a link to the football poems in the KIO section here helped. I will have finished some lesson plans to go with those poems soon – I will post them up here at some point. Please see the list of winning sites below in this letter from Channel 4:
Hello,

I’m pleased to let you know that we have announced the winners of the ORIGINATION:INSITE schools competition. The project was a huge success, over 7,000 young people were involved, which makes it the most popular competition Channel 4 Leaning have ever run.

We were absolutely overwhelmed by the response and the standard of websites we received. In fact, it proved so hard to judge that we had to call in an expert to select the winners (Steve Doyle, a teacher and author of many books on ICT and the curriculum).

Congratulations are in order for:

First Place – Brockworth Enterprise School, Gloucester
Second Place – Weatherhead High School, Wallasey
Third Place – Stanground College, Peterborough
Forth Place – Rainford High Technology College, St Helens
