Kim Moon-hwan, Turns It…On.

On the wrong end of a bruising
Before a heated half-time schmoozing
Warned the chaps to tighten up their belts
The touch-line Samba-esque celebrations,
Ramming home South Korea’s humiliation
Had me screaming at the plasma…”They need help”.

Having one’s derriere well and truly kicked
On a green stained (as it turns out) pitch
Can happen as every player/punter/pundit knows?
But it’s, “The Strictly”, auditions at pitch-side
Ridiculing an opposition clearly on the slide
As we say where I’m from…”What right gets up my nose”.

It could have/should have been six by half-time
If a couple of selfish poseurs leading a front-line
Passed or simply stuck the spherical in the net
But…nah, they had to showboat by the goal,
Pretending to be out on a Sunday stroll
Intent on, “Ere, look at me, ain’t I a clever get?”

I jumped up, screamed and shouted out aloud
As South Korea repaid their loyal fans stood in the crowd
With a cracking strike, fit to win a close fought game
But my everlasting memory of the match…
Kim Moon-hwan, remember him…number fifteen on his back,
Nutmegging Nae-ma…that is surely destined for a frame?
