A Poem for Henrik Larsson

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Will we ever again witness
This miraculous phenomenon,
Who graced us with his presence
In Celtic’s famous number seven.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Will the stars in heaven shine?
As the angels sing his song,
A legend in his time,
Is the hero, Henrik Larsson.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 He will go down as the world’s 8th wonder
Who wore the famous green & white hoops,
He was the roar in Celtic’s thunder,
Who would fill his empty boots?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Parkhead had been his piece of heaven
The day he walked through Celtic’s door,
And from the year of 1997,
How we watched proud Larsson score.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 He was christened with the name of Ghod,
By the passionate Parkhead faithful,
Were his goals brought many a victory
In the act of a miracle.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 After injury he returned to the game,
The Golden Boot he collected,
And Parkhead would echo his name
When he scored goals for the Celtic.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Three league titles he held at Parkhead,
Honours & awards, he would gather more,
And when he waved farewell to the faithful,
He paraded, League title number four.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 His goals we will carry within our hearts,
His commitment & passion within our souls,
In his last season down at Celtic Park;
His memories were worth a fortune in gold.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 His name will be held in high esteem
As we will look back at his glory,
Were Henrik Larsson, our hero & legend,
Will be forever a part of Celtic’s history.
