C is for Courtney Pitt, who’s the best
D is for dreaming as footballers need all their rest
E is for eagle, the nickname of the royal team
F is for football, her majesty supreme
G is for goal, in the net flies the ball
H is for header by the player so tall
I is for Inter-Milan, they’re a great team
J is for juggling the ball like a dream
K is for Kevin Keagan – that’s enough said
L is for Liverpool – they play in red
M is for Manchester – they are top of the pile
N is for Norwich’s fans – at the moment they don’t smile
O is for offside, a football rule
P is for pitch, a field which is green and cool
Q is for quick as a forward can be
R is for reaching the ball for everyone to see
S is for sport, one and for all
T is for Tottenham getting the ball
U is for United – a rich team
V is for victory if you are keen
W is for West Ham, they play in claret and blue
X is for x-ray, when you have been hit by a shoe!
Y is for yellow, a part of Cambridge United’s strip
Z is for a coat with a stuck zip
