Another Day at the Office
¶ 1

Riding high at the top of the league
People want us to fall flat on our face
But the wise ones know we cannot be caught
And realise they’re in a battle for second place.
¶ 2

The fancy foreigners who can’t stand the cold
Are tougher than anyone thought
They don’t back down and they don’t give up
Every game, a battle well fought.
¶ 3
Leave a comment on verse 3 0
When twenty-eight thousand watch a mid-week game
It’s days of milk and honey
And win or lose, the fans leave the ground
Knowing they’ve had value for money.
¶ 4
Leave a comment on verse 4 0
Winning pretty or winning ugly
The result is just the same
Three more points in the bag
And focus shifts to the following game.
¶ 5

Financial Fair Play! the green eyed scream
Questioning what they don’t understand
But Fosun know business, make no mistake
Their accountants have it all in hand.
¶ 6

With seven players sold and eight more loaned out
And plenty more yet to go
They bought just four and with loans and frees
That’s how Fosun kept the net spend low.
¶ 7
Leave a comment on verse 7 0
Buying success? Maybe we are
Like Chelsea and Manchester City
Oh! Your owners are not billionaires?
That’s a shame, what a pity.
¶ 8
Leave a comment on verse 8 0
Another game ends with three more points
Defeated, deflated, players walk away
Wondering, “What just happened? Who was to blame?”
But for Nuno it’s just another day
At the Office
