As songs of the Celts & Hibs could be heard,

Half-Time arrived with the Celts leading 2-1
But it was in the 2nd half that the game would be won.

The crowd at Hampden of 106,000

Then his hat-trick was completed from a Callaghan through ball,
The Celtic fans cheered and chanted his name,

When Macari secured glory, and twice did he score,
But the accolades belonged to wee Dixie Deans,
As the ’72 Scottish Cup Final belonged to Glasgow’s green.
