Bottoms Up!

A toast
From coast to coast
To Lord and Lady Becks
For it is he, who wrecks
Teutonic dreams
And in print, by reams and reams
He is lauded
In his theatres, he is applauded
St Etienne’s debacle (stupid, petty tackle), long forgotten
Whereupon, he was teased something rotten
That his resurrection is now complete, there’s no ambiguity
And so for the sake of future continuity
Let us hope, that the offspring he has sired
Is just as talented and similarly fired –
up! For the cup!
