he’s at Wembley once more
there’s never a dull moment
with Olly and that’s for sure.

but I have a soft spot for Blackpool
even though my blood is Sky Blue.

It must be the family holidays
spent there when I was a lad
hearing endless tales of Mortensen
and Matthews from my Dad.

Walking past the famous Bloomfield Road
looking up at an empty windswept stand
thinking one day I’ll be in there myself
instead of a bucket and spade in my hand.

So good luck to Holloway’s Tangerine Army
may West Ham’s bubbles pop and burst
and I reckon Blackpool can do it again
as the Hammers ain’t got a Peters, Moore, or Hurst !
