was to counter with inaction
i.e. supply no poetic retort
for how else to thwart
the injustice of an offside goal
destroying the soul
and see it chalked up as a winning strike
right after we take a great dislike
to Mr Clattenburg who brandishes two reds
and we wish upon him the Feds
to spirit him away
so that we may play
on an equal footing.
And that’s putting
it mildly.
Wildly
we reacted
when impacted
by the departures
and all the marchers
post-defeat
were replete
with heartfelt opinions
of the ref and his minions.

Notes

Utd went 2-0 up very early, including a David Luiz o.g., he didn’t know much about & a class finish from Van Persie.
Chelsea pulled back, great free from Mata, then the equaliser from Ramires.
Then Clattenburg sent off Ivanovic (no complaints) and then Torres for diving (there was contact).
And the final score shows a winning goal that was actually an offside goal.
Admittedly, hard to see it in real time, but offside nonetheless.
