1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 They told us our players lacked bottle and fight,
Whene’er our performance was flat,
But most games that we played were incredibly tight,
And they deserve credit for that.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 They told us that Fenlon was tactically weak,
They laughed and they jeered at our Pat.
But this Championship win was no fortunate freak,
And he deserves credit for that.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 They told us that Ollie was up to no good,
Only wanting to claim back the VAT.
But he took in Rovers when no-one else would,
And he deserves credit for that.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 They told us our fans were just six-year-old boys,
Outsung at the drop of a hat,
But by season’s end we made plenty of noise,
And we deserve credit for that.
