the monsoon started
as the heavens parted
and the rain poured
but the Portuguese struck a chord
they hit four, for no reply
and its not hard to see why
a hat-trick from Pauletta
no-one could do better
and they were hardly taxed
with the opposition pole-axed
(sorry, just way too tempting
even though its clichés, we should be circumventing)
now that’s more like the Portugal we know
flash, brash and putting on a show

monsoon, not soon enough
for when it rains cats and dogs
no Wun goes hungry
