Daylight Robbery At The Emirates

When the boys in old gold,
went down to North London,
all those in the know,
said Arsenal would get
a half dozen.
Well the extras refused
to follow the script.
And just the one goal,
was all they shipped.
A Fletcher goal
swelled Black Country pride.
And when it got physical
some big names did hide.
They kicked us !
They time wasted !
Gunners fans whined.
As Van Persie, failed to shine.
International Keeper’s talent ignored,
“Game of his life”.
They cried and roared.
Minus one Serbian,
we held on for a draw.
A point which got stuck
in the purists craw.
Effort and teamwork,
are no cause for shame.
There’s more than one way,
to play this great game.
