A ball swept in, byTorsten Frings
We watch, as the ball swings
Untouched, even as van der Saar flings –
Holland flounder, the likely result, stings
The Teuton titans, look probable Kaiser Kings

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 But wait, don’t discount Van the Man
With equine features, no fancy Dan
Nicking a goal, as only he can
He raises the spirits, of every Dutch fan
So now they can relax, catch a tan
While the coaches resuscitate, the game plan

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 A cornucopia
of brightly coloured
covered seats

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 A treat
on the eyes
for tv fans

retreat;
Czechs bouncing

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Latvia –
suffer defeat
but no trouncing

Municipal Stadium, in Alveiro

what an amazingly colourful stadium!
