FAI Cup Draw 2005

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We’re up in top gear,
There’s no team we should fear,
For each game that we play is a blinder.
But I think we’ve a right
To be slightly uptight,
For the Cup draw could well have been kinder.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 There’s easier teams
In the Cup, so it seems.
Why couldn’t we get one of those?
Like Athlone or Dundalk,
Wayside Celtic or Cork,
Or Rovers or Longford or Bohs.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So though the press write
That the game will excite,
It was surely quite unnecessary
That we should be drawn
Gainst the prickly thorn
Representing the City of Derry.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 There’s one consolation
In this situation
That’s causing us certain dismay –
The one small reward is
Those difficult Nordies
Are viewing this draw the same way.
