Where does he get those ties?
But that aside, and with all due respect
Would us fans, in his position, be any more the wiser?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Now the word is out, and artless hacks
Are sharpening their swords
On an under fire former centre back
Trying to turn it round at Portsmouth.

Almost certainly not.. we
And now that his club have said, they’ll back him
He’s a dead man walking, trust me.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I digress, my point’s “The Papers”
Ready again with the finger of blame
Inciting a frenzy, loaded with hate,
Randomly putting a face in the frame.

Tony Adams is…the Portsmouth manager”
Seem’s some scribe on The Express’s words are amiss
After dropping a typographical clanger.

Even Alan Curbishly was in the dark
And as for a Liverpool player doing a gig in “The Sun”
The low life’s of the tabloid football press, once again
Have overstepped the mark!

Notes

What with postponed games, and it being much too cold to travel to the matches that are actually being played as per us fans. The lowlife slushhounds of the football press conjure up two stories to justify, sitting in some bar and taking the big bucks that they’re being paid to pen cutting edge informative writing, whilst once again failing abysmally, and at the same time stepping over the mark of common decency and reality.

I gave up buying newspapers a long time ago, purely because of this kind of make it up as you go along diatribe, that bears no resemblance to bona fide proper football journalism, whatsover.
