Farewell, Incey

The Governor departs, and we’re sad to see him leave
His Molineux lair. A grafter, a battler, an inspiration
To fans and collegues alike – inffectious enthusiasm, it
Rubbed off on everyone – but not on the board, it seemed.
Such a shame, to cast aside a man with heart, with style
With charisma – with a lot on his side to do the job right.
Some say it’s his colour – surely not, in this age; some say
He lacks experience – well others have less, and get work.

Good enough for Liverpool, Man United and Inter – but
Not for Wolves, apparently…so thank you, Paul – may
You prosper elsewhere. In a few short years, and not
Many games, you made quite an impact in the famous shirt,
And we don’t forget those who serve with such passion.
Just remember, Incey – it wasn’t the fans who failed to
Appreciate your value, your committment, your potential;
If one day you return to haunt us, it won’t be our mistake…
