Foucault Off! (Memo to Post-Modernists)

But I have a memo for Post-Modernists,
And all the hyper-relativists,
That school of deconstructionists,
Including some post-structuralists,
Who reject the power of narratives,
And argue when not dreaming,
That texts lack definite meaning,
No true interpretation,
Just personal divination –
So why does the football table
Mean you are unable
To live life as a fable,
And choose to stay up
When you’ve got to go down?
Send them all to Coventry, I say.
