stamping in the rain,
Can you hear the banners,
flapping in the lanes.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Can you hear the laughter,
our humorous refrain,
Can you hear us praise,
even when we are slain.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Can you hear the silence,
the stillness on the trains,
Can you hear us kick the cat,
with delicate disdain.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Can you hear the chatter,
Can you hear us sing,
we are louder and louder,
than any living thing.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Can you hear us now,
Can you tell us the score,
Can you show us respect,
by not singing any more.
