If all footballers were pop songs, John Terry could be ‘Please don’t go’
Robbie Fowler could be ‘Down under’, City’s new signings could be ‘Hello’
Michael Owen could be ‘Back in the high life’; Peter Crouch could be ‘Walk tall’
Joey Barton could be ‘When will I be loved’, (the answer is not at all)
‘Kung fu fighting’ could be Eric Cantona, (he jumped on a Palace fans chest)
Whilst ‘Too good to be forgotten’, just has to be Georgie Best

Far too many players could be this one, ‘I can’t stand up for falling down’
Whilst Craig Bellamy’s song could well be, (The Beach Boys) ‘I get around’
Santa Cruz’s song could be ‘Finally’, Theo Walcott ‘Young, gifted and black’
Adams and Rix could be the ‘Chain gang’, Capello ‘Leader of the pack’
Any ‘magpie’ ‘Up the junction’, Merson ‘You better you bet’
‘Oldest swinger in town’ Teddy Sheringham (oldest Premier striker yet)

‘Money for nothing’ Winston Bogarde (the greediest player ever seen)
Rio could be, well….‘Rio’, then there’s ‘The Irish rover’ Robbie Keane
‘Rockin’ Robin’ could be Van Persie, ‘Big in America’ that could be Becks
Ade Akinbiyi he could be ‘Muscle-bound’, for forever showing off his Pecs
‘Walk like an Egyptian’ Mido or Zaki, ‘The Mighty Quinn’ could be Niall or Mick
‘My perfect cousin’ for Jamie & Frankie, ‘Speedy Gonzales’ for a player who’s quick

There’s many a song you could fit to a player, ‘You drive me crazy’ ‘Devil in disguise’
‘Misfit’, ‘What a waste’, ‘Return to sender’, for all those terrible buys
‘Easy’, ‘Brass in pocket’ and ‘Money’, ‘Too much too young’, ‘Temptation’ and ‘Fame’
‘Up up & away’, ‘Runaway’, ‘Homeward bound’, ‘C’est la vie’, ‘It’s all in the game’
You make think liking footballer’s to pop songs, is somewhat silly or even funny
But one song sums up all today’s footballers, and that is definitely ’Loadsamoney’
