Imagine seeing lives lost under that spring glow.
And imagine not being able to let those visions go.
Imagine this, no chance of a final kiss or goodbye.
Imagine hearing a farewell message, go on and try.

Imagine squeezing a hand until it can’t squeeze back.
Imagine being treated just like an animal in a pack.
Imagine returning home from a game a broken man.
Then picture the police covering their backs if you can.

Now picture this, facing a copper’s cold hearted stare.
Imagine crying out for some help that was never there.
Can you imagine trying to care for those in most need?
I still wonder why Liverpool fans had to take that lead?

Picture those emergency services, why so slow to react?
I wonder why 24 years on people still doubt every fact.
And picture this, no disaster because it didn’t have to be.
Imagine no heart ever broken, no words needed from me
