It’s Sad Really

Trying to boost the gate, get an atmos, get
a feel, increase the family appeal, so it’s
kids in free and a cheap burger makes a meal.
There’s a few hundred more, but they’re not
so desperate to see Town score, they don’t
seem to realise, innocence clouds their eyes.
On the way in a family in front; their first
match, or first for a long while, their faces
share an excited smile. It’s nice and strange
to see, and so sad that soon we’ll destroy
that precious naivety.
