Our new manager’s first game in charge
and he started off with a loss
the players huffed and puffed
but struggled to shoot, tackle, or cross.

I’ve watched a lot of our teams over the years
but this one could be the worst of the lot
so the manager has a tough job ahead
if this is all that he’s got.
¶ 3

I’ve seen better players over the local park
and they play after sinking loads of beer
but this team would turn a teetotaller to drink
as they give us nothing to sing about or cheer.

The attendances are getting lower and lower
but the players just don’t seem to care
the faithful fans will keep on turning up
but the rest I’m afraid don’t want to be there.

let’s hope you can turn things around
but if we’re still at the bottom at Christmas
the home games will be played at a near empty ground !
