Still we’ve had 129 seasons of it, down the Blues,
and we had the squad, to win the day,
But unfortunately, our big players didn’t turn up and play.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 We went to a penalty shoot out, to keep the dream alive,
They tucked in and, we only managed 5,
Ok the spot looked a bit iffy and wet,
But come on even their keeper found the net.

But once again they failed their test,
So should Sven stay or should he go,
He got four million a year, now that’s a lot of dough.

You know, the one with the whistle and the dodgy eyes,

They were thinking of awarding him the final, are they taking the pi**,
And we were home and away and jumping about,
Until the idiot in the middle ruled it out.

At least Wayne Rooney knows how to attack,
Talking of the boy wonder, I’ve penned a song the Rooney Tune,
Hopefully, when he hears it he’ll be over the moon.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 He’s broke his metatarsal, so the boy ain’t fit ,
But he’s the finest player to wear our kit,
So we’ve two years now to make sure it all clicks,
Ta ra to Portugal in 2004, bring on the Germans in 2006.
