We’re playing like a team from Hell,
Our league results have dipped,
Knocked out of the Cup as well,
Continuously pipped.

We need the foreign travel,
But all the strands of this great drug
Are starting to unravel.

Though prayers are offered up.
The only prospect now in sight
Is the Intertwobob Cup.

To set our spirits soarin’
To overcome success fatigue,
Bad fortune and Glentoran.

Engerland has five teams. Why,
If Ireland has but one?
Our chances now to qualify
Are going, going, gone.

‘Champions Only’ is Ireland’s rule,
So here you see our plight,
We’ll have to do a Liverpool
And win the thing outright.
