Out and About

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Its early Sunday morning
The weather is cold
You play no more football
Cos youre getting old

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So you do what you can
The games passed you by
Up and out with your flask
To find the next star in the sky

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Rain, frost and snow,
All elements you face
Looking for a player
Your right on the case

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Your up to you socks in mud
And watchin in the cold
You spot a young kid who
Makes you forget you are old

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 You talk to his gaffer
And then to his dad
See the look on his face
Makes the heart feel glad

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Off he goes home
With his head full of dreams
He’s gona be a star
With all the pro teams.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Many dont make it
A few make the grade
You just give em a chance
Of the stuff dreams are made

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Then around comes the weekend
and its out and about
It aint a bad old life
Being a scout.
