The rain pours down and drenches us
but never dims the passion.
The snow falls and engulfs us
as if it’s going out of fashion.
But the crowds turn up regardless,
to cheer on their team,
despite the pelt of hailstones,
the biggest ever seen.

as we stand, iced to the bone,
the man on the tannoy tells us
that the game has been postponed!
