Eternal City
Took our tears and wiped them dry
Keegan
Clemence
Hughes
And Case
Put back the smiles
On every face
Kennedy
Callaghan
Heighway
Still I see
Little Bamber’s flying feet…
And Joey Jones
Oh Joey Jones
Ate frogs legs and
Made swiss roll
McDermott steadfast
Boots of steel
Calm and deadeye
Step up Phil Neal
The Anfield Iron
God how he would steal
The ceasars crown…and smile
then wheel
Away and we would learn
To truly dream…

Notes

The Greatest Team of all time? Liverpool European Cup Winning Side of ’77….No sweeter wine than this, and poured by the hands of Bob Paisley, the greatest football coach there has been and ever will be, an honourable manager but more importantly an honourable man…
