He picked up a chicken and threw it with force
As far as the damned thing would go,
The striker controlled it with skill, but of course,
The ref said it was a fowl throw.

Down the wing came the roe deer, so nimble of foot,
The chicken slid in with a scowl.
The chicken protested its innocence but
