The Baggies gulped a bitter pill.
Scouser dream’s dissolved in Greece.
Jose’s double a slight release.
Fergie returned to Premier Heaven,
So the curtain closed on 06-07

Lying ahead three months of pain.
Tennis tantrums, test match rain,
Shopping trips, family days,
DIY and general malaise.

Transfer rumours, speculation,
Maybe Europe or relegation?
It’s hard to imagine getting through,
Cruelly torn from the beloved crew.

So now I have to batten down,
Slumbers in my dressing gown.
Videos of former glories,
Dreaming of unwritten stories.
Years of history, no time to dwell,
Preparing for this summer hell.
