Rumours confirmed Shearer’s been dropped
Gullitt’s a tosser, he needs to be stopped
The rain is incessant It becomes a monsoon
Cold apprehension sweeps over the Toon
The chants are for Shearer
On the bench sat forlorn
The iconic geordie in the eye of the storm
The travelling supporters get under the skin
Delirious celebrations thanks to Phillips and Quin
Shearer warms up the Mackem hoards jeer
Legend versus manager now one thing is clear
And one arrogant Dutchman
Who did not read the signs
It’s him or the captain
Gullitt resigns.
