Their Captain wakes in nightmares
With his hands about to grasp the trophy.

The greatest team never to win a title:
Their ghosts cry in the bars and clubs of England
Remembering the early leads they squandered
The defence that was almost invincible
The striker sold at the wrong time of the season
The goalkeeper who was not quite brilliant enough.
