This day, this day
It’s been a long, long wait
As three thousand travelling fans
Bolster the gate
It’s at Ewood Park that the die is cast
This day, this day, it’s here at last.

It’s been ninety eight days
A lifetime ago
Since we last heard the sound of a whistle blow
This day, this day, it all starts again
The joy, the sorrow,
The euphoria, the pain.

New players have been added
To put us in with a shout
Are we better for it?
Today we find out
As twenty two players take to the field
This day, this day, all is revealed.
