This Glorious June

This glorious June, two thousand and ten,
Is the sweetest month of all,
Forget the hung parliament
High unemployment
Credit crunch
Unseasonable rain and the chill in the air.
Turn hearts and minds to the Rainbow Nation,
Be part of the greatest show on earth
Pull up an easy chair
Join your mates at the local
Be part of the World Cup 2010
You the football aficionados
Harvest stories of greatest footballers
To embellish and tell your children and grandchildren.
