To Tradition…

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 So why do we have change?
It’s supposed to make things better,
But as for the glorious game,
It’s only introduced the Debtor.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So what were they thinking?
Who could benefit from this,
The out of reach executives,
Whom would never fart and piss.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So are they as smart as they appear?
Their CV’s would tend to yes,
But if that were the case,
How could they create such a mess.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 What’s really different from before?
At face value doesn’t seem like much,
But the language is totally different,
From English to Double Dutch.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So what is this new language?
The answer’s so simple its funny,
For the love of the game,
Has been replaced by the need for money.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So how did we all let this happen?
It would seem that monkey see, monkey do,
As soon as the big guns lead the way,
Others are blinded by ambition and follow too.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 So why can’t it be fixed?
Nothing is being done,
The sheep are too afraid,
To face the barrel of the gun.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 So they’ve realised their mistake?
What is it going to accomplish,
It’ll soon be forgotten and gone,
From the memory of these suited goldfish.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 So what will it take?
It would take a minor miracle,
Big boys would stop spending,
If supporters weren’t so fickle.

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 Where is our saviour?
He’s overdue his arrival,
What we fail to realise is that,
You and I responsible for the games survival.

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 So what can you and I do?
Stand up and be heard,
I wrote a poem,
And God knows I’m no Baird.
Project your voice,
Don’t lie down and take it,
We have a choice,
Together we could make it.
