We Will Always Be There

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Well another season is over
that seemed to go really quick,
when one minute you’re on a high
and another left feeling sick.
Like that match at Wembley
with a sea of sky blue,
if not for a dodgy VAR call
the City would have won through.
And we also missed out on the play offs
a case of so near yet so far away,
but our players just ran out of steam
with some too tired to even play.
But it was still a good campaign
with many great results home and away,
such as beating Leicester City 3-1
now that really made my day.
And our fans the Sky Blue Army
so loyal and devoted and proud,
always making plenty of noise
with songs sung nice and loud.
So bring on the next one
with it the excitement and despair,
but you can be so sure and certain
that us supporters will always be there !

Notes

Well the Championship is over with my club Coventry City missing out on an FACup Final and a play off place. But it’s still been a great season and all in all I’ve enjoyed it.
So after a break all thoughts will turn to next season, and hopefully a successful one ?
And England to win a tournament before that !
