I grumpily toddle off, empty ‘boppa’ in hand, to the
fridge, when only moments before, I was lustily

what did I see, with my own disbelieving, crabby eyes?
The epitome of laziness, the indecorous duvet dweller

the get-up-it’s-time-4-school mantra undressed addressee
sitting bolt upright, polishing off breakfast, smartly
attired in regulation uniform, bright eyed and bushy tailed

I’d normally have been delighted, at this sudden
