It is no misnomer
To shout and scream and say
That the ref he is a Homer,
A Greek poet all the way,
An acronym’s scotoma,
P— Off Early Tomorrow’s Sunday.

They always blow early when you’re one nil down, away from home, on those infrequent Saturdays, when you actually play, don’t they?
Scotoma = a blind spot, apparently.
